Basingstoke Town FC
Home shirt & track jacket // Concept collection
A concept collection connecting Basingstoke’s local identity with its football heritage, combining a Donut City-inspired pattern with the stripes familiar to the club’s historic home shirts.

Basingstoke’s abundance of roundabouts earned it the nickname “Donut City”. Their circular forms inspired the pattern development, translating a distinctive part of the town’s identity into modern visuals for the home shirt.

Stripes are a recurring feature of Basingstoke’s historic home shirts and a strong part of the club’s football identity. The concepts explore how this familiar format can incorporate a circular pattern, bringing the town’s character onto the football pitch.

The final shirt combines the club’s historic striped identity with the Donut City pattern throughout two thicker stripes. Fine yellow piping frames the stripes, while the collar and sleeve trims add contrasting, subtle detail.

The track jacket extends the collection into everyday wear, carrying through the shirt’s blue and yellow palette. Yellow piping echoes the elements from the home shirt, creating a consistent identity across both garments, while maintaining a clean aesthetic, fit for the high street.
